Zayn Malik talks about his relationship with Rebecca Ferguson and why he thinks it didn’t last. He tells NOW that he realizes now that the relationship with single mother Ferguson was a big mistake, saying, “"It was just a weird situation and a weird time I was going through being away from home on the X Factor tour. To get that comfort and friendship from someone was nice. But I think it was a wrong decision to make at such a young age. Then it did end quite badly so we don't talk any more."
When asked about the fact that Ferguson was in fact a mother to two kids, he replies, "That was definitely unrealistic. That's evident now."
Ferguson was also very open about their split to the media, which caused a big tabloid sensation when it was announced. Zayn comments on that as well, saying, “I tried to stay away from getting into that because I'm not interested in the technicalities of whatever happened. It was just a wrong idea from the start. It shouldn't have happened. It did. And then we dealt with it and went our separate ways.
Malik is now with Perrie Edwards, and seems to be in a happy, stable relationship with her. Of course, One Direction is gaining popularity by the minute and you never know when another gal will catch his eye.
One Direction also recently spoke up about the probability of Zayn getting married in Las Vegas.
