The X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger has had an on-off relationship with British Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton for a few years now but she admits that things are not exactly easy. Lewis Hamilton has to travel the world with his McLaren team while Nicole stays in the UK, where she is currently living.
While Scherzinger does try to get to as many of Lewis’ races as she possibly can, she does admit that the long distance love is a difficult way to live. She explained, “It is tough. It's challenging and it makes things interesting, but it works. You have to fight for it.”
However, Nicole is becoming more comfortable in the UK after taking some time to settle in, “For the first couple of days I was homesick, but I'm starting to find I'm fitting in quite well at being a Londoner. I love the people here, so that's really helped. And I've made my place a little bit more cosy with fairy lights and candles and yummy blankets,” she added.
Meanwhile, Scherzinger admitted that she believes that the general public have the wrong idea about the type of person she is. Nicole added, “I think it's natural people would have misconceptions about me - they've seen me in the Pussycat Dolls and in my music videos, when I'm this sexy, fierce girl.”
She continued, “And there is a side of me like that - I've got my Sasha Fierce in me. I've always had that. But then everyday I'm just a normal girl. I'm a goofball. I have a sense of humour and people don't always get to see that.”
